The Romanesque House Museum

The museum is set inside an exceptionally well-preserved Romanesque house in the heart of historical the town centre. A collection of Romanesque sculptures that come from the ancient abbey is presented on the ground floor. The first floor exhibits a collection of birds from Camargue. The room on the second floor still preserves its original 12th century chimney, and serves as a backdrop for the stone sculpture depicting saint Gilles. An adjacent wing houses of a regional ethnographic collection about the daily life and the traditional activities in Saint-Gilles from the 19th to the beginning of the 20th century.

The museum organises exhibitions, guided tours and specific events.
